Ever wondered why you’d spend so much on a book or a box set when you’d only ever read it or watch it once, maybe twice if you really like it.
Well, here I’m trying to help residents of Damansara Perdana a little bit on that problem, by offering books and DVD box sets for rent. Granted the collection may not be too comprehensive, but I’m adding more as it goes along.
How it works is quite simple:
– Browse the online catalogue of available books and box sets at https://rentabook.wordpress.com
– Select the book/s and/or box set/s you are interested in renting and note down their reference number/s.
– Fill in the supplied form with your selection, and either a) text me for collection or b) slip it under my door (Unit A-6-19, Ritze Perdana Block A)
– I will deliver your selected item by the following day, should you have sufficient credit to rent the selected item (rentals and return time is between Monday to Friday, from 7pm – 11pm). Please inform me on the form which time you would prefer delivery/collection to be, during the stipulated time.
– For those who would like to rent books and box sets and do not have access to internet, please sms me and I will supply a catalogue for you to browse through and make selection.
How to make payment and how you are charged:
– For each person that wants to rent books or box sets, a minimum credit of RM20 is payable upon joining. Your minimum amount required for rental will be based on the purchase price of items you will be renting.
– The cost of item rented will then be deducted from that total sum. Your updated balance will be returned on your rental form after items rented are returned.
– Should any of the items be damaged, the purchase price will be deducted from your balance; also listed on the website.
– Payment is made on a cash basis, where upon your first rental you will have to leave your desired credit amount with me upon book/box set delivery.
– When your credited amount is low, a reminder sms will be sent to you to check if you would like to top up or end your renting there. Also, as an added reminder, each time your items are returned, the rental form is returned with your latest balance written on it.
– Should you request to cease renting books while still having a credit balance, the balance will be returned to you either via bank transfer or cash (as per your selection).
